3.Poetry Analysis
Hand out Eros and Eros prompt- no notes!
Individually: 5 minutes- Silently and on their own, students will analyze the poems for concepts of Eros and techniques used to create them.
Groups: Write intro/thesis and one body paragraph- work as a whole group, but each student must write out an intro and body paragraph as they discuss it!
Turn in at end of class!
Prompt: The poems "Eros" and "Eros" are both concerned with Eros, the god of love in Greek mythology. Read the poemscarefully. Then written and essay in which you compare and contrast the two concepts of Eros and analyze the techniques used to create them.
